Francesca Waddell artist

About

Francesca has always loved a Vogue cover, and drawing the female form so to combine the two, well that would be exquisite.

Throughout her decade long career she has worked with leading fashion brands and magazines including Chanel, Cartier, Prada and Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and Tatler. She was the in-house illustrator for The Stylist, Emerald Street and Vogue Japan.

Francesca studied Fine Art at the Glasgow School of Art in the mid 90s, going on to study fashion in 2001, it was there she discovered her love of fashion illustration, and became a fashion illustrator.

Setting up a blog in mid 2008, she contacted fashion bloggers and magazine directors to build up a portfolio. She realised her dream when she landed her first commission for Bloomingdales, “totally out of the blue” and she has never looked back.

She lives in Glasgow, with her two children, husband and a Frenchie named Peach.

Her online store has been curated from her archive of work.

Francesca is available for private and commercial work. She is represented by the wonderful Marie-Claire of Lipstick of London
